The state department is the designated state
agency to adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 and accept delegation from the
federal Department of Health and Human Services to carry out the
purposes of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988
(P.L.100-578) (42 U.S.C. 201, 263a).
