4.

(a)"Subsidized health services", for purposes of IC 16-21-6 and IC 16-21-9, means services that:
(1)are provided by a hospital, in response to community needs, for which the reimbursement is less than the hospital's cost for providing the services; and
(2)must be subsidized by other hospital or nonprofit supporting entity revenue sources.
(b)Subsidized health services may include:
(1)emergency and trauma care;
(2)neonatal intensive care;
(3)free standing community clinics; and
(4)collaborative efforts with local government or private agencies in preventive medicine, such as immunization programs.
(c)As used in this section, "nonprofit supporting entity" means a nonprofit entity that is created by the hospital or the hospital's parent entity to further the charitable purposes of
