§ 16-18-2-182 — "Hospital purposes"
"Hospital purposes" means providing inpatient or outpatient diagnostic and treatment facilities and services generally recognized as hospital services to the public, under the direction and supervision of the patient's attending physician, including, at the discretion of the governing board, the following:
(1)Extended care facilities.
(2)The provision of services to other health care entities.
(3)Other health care services and facilities, including the
provision of acute care in hospital inpatient units to patients with
extended lengths of stay.
