§ 15-18-1-4 — Permit suspension
(a)The board may suspend a permit issued
under section 3 of this chapter whenever:
(1)there is reason to believe that a public health hazard exists;
(2)the permit holder has violated any of the requirements of this
chapter; or
(3)the permit holder has interfered with the board in the
performance of the board's duties.
(b)The board shall:
(1)in all cases except where the milk or milk product involved
creates or appears to create an imminent hazard to the public
health; or
(2)in any case of a willful refusal to permit authorized inspection;
serve upon the permit holder a written notice of intent to suspend the
permit under IC 4-21.5. A suspension of a permit is effective
immediately and remains in effect until the violation has been corrected
to the satisfaction of the board.
