§ 15-18-1-31 — Dairy drug residue abatement fund

(a)The dairy drug residue abatement fund is established to implement education and other programs designed to prevent drug residue violations. Money in the fund is appropriated for these purposes.
(b)The fund consists of civil penalties collected under section 17 of this chapter.
(c)The board shall administer the fund.
(d)The expenses of administering the fund shall be paid from money in the fund.
(e)The treasurer of state shall invest the money in the fund not currently needed to meet the obligations of the fund in the same manner as other public money may be invested.
(f)Money in the fund at the end of a state fiscal year does not revert to the state general fund. [Pre-2008 Recodification Citation: 15-2.1-23-17.]
