Text

Cattle that react positively to a brucellosis test may not be sold for any purpose other than immediate slaughter. If cattle first react positively to a brucellosis test at a livestock auction market, community sale, or public stockyard, the owner or consignor of the cattle may remove the cattle to the owner's or consignor's premises, subject to quarantine laws and restrictions prescribed by the board. If a retest is negative, the animal may be sold in the same manner as any other animal that reacts negatively. [Pre-2008 Recodification Citation: 15-2.1-15-6.]
