Text

(a)This section applies to a county corn growers' association or horticulture society with at least:
(1)fifty (50) members in the local association or society; and
(2)ten (10) members in the state association or society.
(b)In a county where an agricultural fair or association:
(1)does not exist; or
(2)is not active; the county council and the board of county commissioners may annually appropriate and pay to any county corn growers' association or horticultural society up to two hundred dollars ($200) to be used in the payment of cash awards. [Pre-2008 Recodification Citation: 15-1-9-1.]
