§ 15-13-7-1 — Annual state agricultural fair; commission and board responsibilities
(a)The commission and board shall hold one
(1)state agricultural fair each year. The fair must emphasize
agriculture and agribusiness.
(b)The commission is responsible for the following:
(1)Personnel.
(2)Management of the facilities.
(3)Contracts and contract procedures.
(4)All fiduciary responsibilities.
(5)Approving future dates of the fair.
(c)The board is responsible for the following:
(1)Committees established under IC 15-13-5-5.5 to assist with
planning the fair.
(2)Approving the annual premium books for the fair that set forth
the general terms and conditions, schedule, loading and unloading
of livestock, qualifications, animal testing, breed specific terms
and conditions, entry fees, and premiums for all fair exhibits and
judges.
