Text

The director shall do the following:

(1)Instigate the formation of a market and development plan for diversified farming.
(2)Encourage the development and growth of diversified farming, aquaculture, and specialty crops through education programs.
(3)Administer the United States Department of Agriculture Specialty Crop Block Grant Program.
(4)Identify diversified farming opportunities.
(5)Create a healthy network to better connect farmers to available resources.
(6)Aggressively promote the opportunities and benefits of agricultural diversification.
(7)Report on the department's activities under this chapter in the annual report submitted under IC 15-11-2-8. [Pre-2008 Recodification Citation: 4-4-3.8-2.]
