Text
There is established the office of commissioner
of correction. The commissioner must hold at least a bachelor's degree
from an accredited college or university and must have held a
management position in correctional or related work for at least five (5)
years. The commissioner shall be appointed by and serve at the
pleasure of the governor. The commissioner is entitled to a salary to be
determined by the state budget agency with the approval of the
governor.
