Text

Secretary of Financial and Professional Regulation; functions and powers. The functions and powers of the Secretary shall include the following:

(1)to issue or refuse to issue any license as provided by this Act;
(2)to revoke or suspend for cause any license issued under this Act;
(3)to keep records of all licenses issued under this Act;
(4)to receive, consider, investigate, and act upon complaints made by any person in connection with any licensed consumer legal funding company in this State or unlicensed consumer legal funding activity;
(5)to prescribe the forms of and receive:
(A)applications for licenses; and (B) all reports and all books and records required to be made by any licensee under this Act, including annual audited financial statements and annual reports of consumer le
