§ 205

Illinois·Topic RIGHTS AND REMEDIES·Ch. 720 CRIMINAL OFFENSES·Act 720 ILCS 570/ Illinois Controlled Substances Act.·Art. Article II -

The Department, taking into consideration the recommendations of its Prescription Monitoring Program Advisory Committee, may issue a rule scheduling a substance in Schedule II if it finds that:

(1)the substance has high potential for misuse;
(2)the substance has currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States, or currently accepted medical use with severe restrictions; and (3) the misuse of the substance may lead to severe psychological or physiological dependence.
