Text
Any minor taken into temporary custody pursuant to this Act who requires care away from the minor's home but who does not require physical restriction shall be given temporary care in a foster family home or other shelter facility designated by the court. In the case of a minor alleged to be a minor requiring authoritative intervention, the court may order, with the approval of the Department of Children and Family Services, that custody of the minor be with the Department of Children and Family Services for designation of temporary care as the Department determines. No such child shall be ordered to the Department without the approval of the Department.
