Detachment of lands in municipal corporation exercising drainage powers- Hearing-Order. If upon hearing the petition, the court finds that it is not properly signed, that the allegations of the petition are not true or that the proposed detachment is not in the best interest of the district and of the lands proposed to be detached, then the court shall deny the petition. If the court finds for the petitioners and has not been requested in writing to ascertain the proportionate share of the cost of reconstruction, repair and maintenance work on the levee or outlet of the drainage district which shall be borne by the municipal corporation in the future, then the court shall order the lands detached from the district.
