§ 255-75 — Nomination of Board members

Nomination of a candidate for member of the Board at any election to be held after June 1, 1970, shall be made by a petition filed with the county clerk, signed by at least 50 voters qualified to vote at the election. The petition shall be in substantially the following form: NOMINATING PETITION To the County Clerk of Sangamon County: We, the undersigned, being 50 or more of the voters qualified to vote, hereby petition that .... who resides at ...., (Springfield, Woodside, Capital) Township, in Sangamon County shall be a candidate for the office of member of the Board of the Springfield Metropolitan Exposition and Auditorium Authority (for a full term) (to fill a vacancy, term expiring on (insert date)) to be voted for at an election to be held on (insert date).
