§ 12a

Illinois·Topic GOVERNMENT·Ch. 70 SPECIAL DISTRICTS·Act 70 ILCS 1005/ Mosquito Abatement District Act.
Any mosquito abatement district organized under the provisions of this Act which lies wholly within a county having fewer than 1,000,000 inhabitants which levies a tax for mosquito abatement pursuant to Section 25.05-4 of "An Act in relation to counties", approved March 31, 1874, as heretofore or hereafter amended, shall be dissolved and discontinued upon the action by such county board which levies such tax. The trustees of such mosquito abatement district shall immediately proceed to wind up the affairs of such district and shall have the same powers as before dissolution to levy taxes for the purpose of paying the debts, obligations and liabilities of such mosquito abatement district outstanding on the date of such dissolution and the necessary expenses of closing up the affairs of such
