Text
If a part of a municipality is annexed to another municipality, and if the corporate authorities of the divided municipality and of the annexing municipality cannot agree by ordinance as to their respective rights and duties arising out of the disconnection and annexation, the circuit court of the county within which either municipality is situated, upon petition of either municipality, shall hear and determine the questions in dispute. The court shall enter judgment as the right of the matter may demand and this judgment shall be appealable as in other civil cases. No petition under this section may be filed within 60 days after the annexation, or request the determination of questions arising under Sections 7-1-31 through 7-1-33 and Section 7-1-37.
