§ 4-4-1 — Oath or affirmation

Before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, all officers elected or appointed under this Article shall take and subscribe the oath or affirmation prescribed by the Illinois Constitution. This oath or affirmation, when subscribed, shall be filed with the municipal clerk.
