Text
If a single trip permit is required by Section 13a.5 of the Motor Fuel Tax Law, a motor carrier shall not operate in Illinois without a single trip permit issued by the Department of Revenue or its agents. If a commercial motor vehicle is found operating in Illinois without displaying a required valid single trip permit, the operator is guilty of a petty offense as provided in Section 13a.6 of the Motor Fuel Tax Law.
