§ 2-100 — Property acquisition

(a)In addition to any other powers the Department may have under Sections 72 and 74 of the Illinois Aeronautics Act or any other applicable law, and notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the Department may acquire by gift, grant, lease, purchase, condemnation, or otherwise, any right, title, or interest in any private property, property held in the name of or belonging to any public body or unit of government, or any property devoted to a public use, or any other rights or easements, including any property, rights, or easements owned by the State, units of local government, or school districts, including forest preserve districts, for purposes related to the South Suburban Airport. The powers given to the Department under this Section include the power to acquire, by condemnation
