§ 110-5 — Application of Article

(a) This Article applies only in those townships in which the electors of the township, at an annual or special township meeting, authorize the township board to exercise the powers conferred by this Article. (b) This Article does not apply in any county in which a county zoning ordinance or resolution is in effect. A county zoning ordinance or resolution adopted after the adoption of a township zoning ordinance or resolution under this Article supersedes the township zoning ordinance or resolution. (c) Regulations adopted under this Article do not apply to any area that is governed by a municipal zoning ordinance. (d) This Article does not apply to the facilities of a telecommunications carrier defined in Section 5-12001.1 of the Counties Code.
