Text
The Department may conduct random inspections upon renewal, for cause, or as necessary to assure the integrity and effectiveness of the certification process. Upon failure to pass inspection, a euthanasia agency's certificate shall be suspended or denied, as applicable, pending review by the Department. Upon the failure of an agency to pass an inspection, animal euthanasia must be performed by a licensed veterinarian or at another certified euthanasia agency. A euthanasia agency that fails to pass an inspection is subject to penalty. Upon notice of failure to pass an inspection, a euthanasia agency shall have 30 days to appeal the inspection results.
