Text
The Agricultural Areas Committee of the county board shall hold a public hearing within 60 days of the receipt of a petition for withdrawal of land from an agricultural area. The hearing shall be held at a location readily accessible to the public and proximate to the affected land. Not less than 7 days prior to the date of the public hearing, the county board shall provide notice of such public hearing by publishing a notice in a newspaper having general circulation in the immediate area of the affected land, or, if no newspaper has a general circulation in the immediate area of the affected land, then in a newspaper having general circulation within the county.
