§ 25-5 — Authorization to accept retrocession

Illinois·Topic GOVERNMENT·Ch. 5 GENERAL PROVISIONS·Act 5 ILCS 547/ Joliet Army Ammunition Plant Retrocession Law.

Pursuant to the provisions of Title 10, United States Code, Section 2683, the State of Illinois hereby authorizes acceptance of retrocession by the United States of America of exclusive legislative jurisdiction over lands containing 23,611.04 acres, more or less, within the boundaries of Joliet Army Ammunition Plant Military Reservation, County of Will, Illinois, more particularly described as follows: Situated in the State of Illinois, all in the County of Will, South and East of the Des Plaines River, North of the Kankakee River, and more particularly described as follows: Certain lands in Channahon Township, Township 34 North, Range 9 East, of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:

(1)that portion of Section 24 lying west of Base Line Road and south of an east-west line lo
