Text
All owners of multiple dwellings and high-rise apartment buildings are required to permanently post within each dwelling unit instructions explaining what procedures to use in the event of a fire. Such instructions shall be posted in a location where they are readily accessible and will be frequently seen by residents of the dwelling unit. Posting on the backside of the door of an upper kitchen cabinet, on the backside of a closet door that opens out, or on the inside of a bathroom door shall be considered compliance with this requirement. The instruction must comply with standards established by the local fire department and include a diagram illustrating all fire exits.
