§ 11-110 — Employee, contributory, contributor or participant

"Employee", "contributory", "contributor" or "participant": (a) Any employee of an employer in a position classified by the civil service commission thereof as labor service and who was appointed to such position under the Civil Service Act, other than by temporary appointment as defined in said Act. (b) Any employee in the service of an employer before the Civil Service Act came into effect for the employer. (c) Any person employed by the board. (d) Any person employed by a retirement board of any other annuity and benefit fund in such city which is on a reserve basis on the effective date or thereafter in operation for the employer, other than the fund created by this Article. (e) Any person employed after July 31, 1951, by temporary appointment as defined in Section 10 of the Civil Service Act, in a position classified by the Civil Service Commission of the employer as labor service of the employer; or in the case of a city operating under a municipal personnel ordinance, any employee of an employer employed under the provisions of such municipal personnel ordinance as labor service of the employer.
