The General Assembly intends that Illinois should lead the nation in manufacturing domestically and internationally demanded goods. Through the support of manufacturers existing within Illinois and those seeking to relocate to Illinois, this Act is intended to spur innovation in growth industries and fast-growing sectors, including: automotive manufacturing; aerospace manufacturing; energy and life sciences; machine manufacturing; fabricated metal manufacturing; chemical manufacturing; robotics; and the production of advanced materials. This Act is intended to create good-paying jobs, generate long-term economic investment in the Illinois business economy, and ensure that vital products are made in the United States.
