The County Welfare Services Committee shall advise the County Department in relation to the administration of its functions and duties. The Committee shall also advise the Illinois Department on all matters pertaining to public aid in the county, recommend the development of community welfare programs it may deem necessary and stimulate community interest in these programs and their proper organization, survey economic and social welfare conditions and employment opportunities, and perform any other duties as the Illinois Department may prescribe. The Committee shall submit to the Illinois Department periodic reports of its activities, findings, and recommendations at the times and in the manner as the Department may direct.
