Text

(a)There is created in the State Treasury a special fund to be known as the Drug Rebate Fund.
(b)The Fund is created for the purpose of receiving and disbursing moneys in accordance with this Section. Disbursements from the Fund shall be made, subject to appropriation, only as follows:
(1)For payments for reimbursement or coverage for prescription drugs and other pharmacy products provided to a recipient of medical assistance under the Illinois Public Aid Code, the Children's Health Insurance Program Act, the Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance Act, and the Veterans' Health Insurance Program Act of 2008. (1.5) For payments to managed care organizations as defined in Section 5-30.1 of the Illinois Public Aid Code.
(2)For reimbursement of moneys collected by the Department of Healthcare a
