(a)No person shall use any words, abbreviations, figures, letters, title, sign, card, or device tending to imply that he or she is an advanced practice registered nurse, including, but not limited to, using the titles or initials "Advanced Practice Registered Nurse", "Advanced Practice Registered Nurse", "Certified Nurse Midwife", "Certified Nurse Practitioner", "Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist", "Clinical Nurse Specialist", "A.P.R.N.", "C.N.M.", "C.N.P.", "C.R.N.A.", "C.N.S.", or similar titles or initials, with the intention of indicating practice as an advanced practice registered nurse without meeting the requirements of this Act.
