(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2030) Sec. 27.5. Subpoenas; depositions; oaths. (a) The Department has the power to subpoena documents, books, records, or other materials, to bring before it any person, and to take testimony either orally or by deposition, or take written interrogatories, or any combination thereof, with the same fees and mileage and in the same manner prescribed in civil cases in courts of this State. (b) The Secretary, the designated hearing officer, and every member of the Board has the power to administer oaths to witnesses at any hearing that the Department is authorized to conduct and any other oaths authorized in any Act administered by the Department.
