(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027) Sec. 26.13. Temporary suspension. The Secretary may temporarily suspend the license of an optometrist without a hearing, simultaneously with the institution of proceedings for a hearing provided for in Section 26.2 of this Act, if the Secretary finds that evidence in his or her possession indicates that continuation in practice would constitute an imminent danger to the public. In the event that the Secretary suspends, temporarily, this license without a hearing, a hearing by the Department must be held within 30 days after such suspension has occurred, and be concluded without appreciable delay.
