(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2031) Sec. 1-14. Teacher education. The Department may accept, instead of the teacher training requirements set forth in subsection (d) of Sections 2-4, paragraph (4) of subsection (a) of Section 3-4, paragraph (4) of subsection (a) of Section 3A-3, paragraph (4) of subsection (a) of Section 3C-3, and Section 3E-3 of this Act, proof that the applicant has completed educational courses at a college or university that are similar to those included in the rules regarding teacher curriculum, including student teaching, or proof of a current professional educator license or career and technical educator license issued by the State Board of Education and proof of 2 years of experience as a teacher.
