(a)For the purposes of this Section: "Electric utility" means an electric utility serving more than 500,000 customers in this State. "Energization" and "energize" means the connection of new electric vehicle charging infrastructure projects over 5 megawatts to the electrical grid or upgrading electrical capacity to provide adequate service to such electric vehicle charging infrastructure projects. "Energization" and "energize" do not include activities related to connecting electricity supply resources.
