Text
The Secretary may assess a civil penalty against a person that violates this Act, a rule adopted or an order issued under this Act in an amount not to exceed $1,000 per day for each day the violation is outstanding, plus this State's costs and expenses for the investigation and prosecution of the matter, including reasonable attorney's fees. Each transaction in violation of this Act or the rules adopted under this Act or issued under this Act, for each day that a violation continues shall be a separate offense.
