Text

(Section scheduled to be repealed on July 1, 2026) Sec. 34.10. Home child care demonstration project; conversion and renovation grants; Department of Human Services.

(a)The legislature finds that the demand for quality child care far outweighs the number of safe, quality spaces for our children. The purpose of this Section is to increase the number of child care providers by:
(1)developing a demonstration project to train individuals to become home child care providers who are able to establish and operate their own child care facility; and (2) providing grants to convert and renovate existing facilities.
(b)The Department of Human Services may from appropriations from the Child Care Development Block Grant establish a demonstration project to train individuals to become home child care
