§ 1-85 — Home Illinois Program

(a)Subject to appropriation, the Department of Human Services shall establish the Home Illinois Program. The Home Illinois Program shall focus on preventing and ending homelessness in Illinois and may include, but not be limited to, homeless prevention, emergency and transitional housing, rapid rehousing, outreach, capital investment, and related services and supports for individuals at risk or experiencing homelessness. The Department may establish program eligibility criteria and other program requirements by rule. The Department of Human Services may consult with the Capital Development Board, the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, and the Illinois Housing Development Authority in the management and disbursement of funds for capital related projects.
