§ 8-2

The Sections, clauses, sentences and parts of this Act are severable, are not matters of mutual essential inducement, and any of them may be excised by any court of competent jurisdiction if this Act would otherwise be unconstitutional or ineffective. It is the intention of this Act to confer upon community college districts the whole or any part of the powers in this Act provided for, and if any one or more Sections, clauses, sentences and parts of this Act shall for any reason be questioned in any court of competent jurisdiction and shall be adjudged unconstitutional or invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remaining provisions thereof, but shall be confined in its operation to the specific provision or provisions so held unconstitutional or invalid, and the i
