§ 25-614A — HERD DEPOPULATION
In order to facilitate the advancement of the state of Idaho to brucellosis class free and to maintain the state in this category, the division of animal industries is granted authority to condemn brucellosis infected herds and to require the destruction of such infected herds. The board of examiners is authorized and empowered upon the recommendation of the division, to reimburse the owner by cash payment for brucellosis affected or exposed animals which have been appraised and slaughtered by direction of the division, provided that the state shall only pay the difference between appraised price less federal indemnity and salvage for any cattle or other animals slaughtered under the provisions of this section.
