A person may file a complaint with the board against a professional landscape architect or the board may initiate a complaint. Unless the complaint is dismissed by the board as unfounded or trivial, the board may request the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing to conduct an investigation into the complaint. The department of inspections, appeals, andlicensingshallreportitsfindingstotheboard, andtheboardshallholdahearing within sixty days after the date on which the complaint is filed. The board shall fix the time and place for such hearing and shall cause a copy of the complaint, together with a notice of §544B.16, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS 6 thetimeandplacefixedforthehearing, tobeservedontheaccusedatleastthirtydaysbefore the date fixed for the hearing.
