Text

1.An insurer or insurance producer who, after hearing, is found to have violated this chapter may be ordered to cease and desist from engaging in the conduct resulting in the violation and may be assessed a civil penalty pursuant to chapter 507B.
2.A person who, after hearing, is found to have violated this chapter by acting as an agent of an insurer or otherwise selling, soliciting, or negotiating insurance in this state, or offeringtothepublicadvice,counsel,orserviceswithregardtoinsurance,whoisnotproperly licensed may be ordered to cease and desist from engaging in the conduct resulting in the violation and may be assessed a civil penalty according to the provisions of chapter 507A.
3.If a person does not comply with an order issued pursuant to this section, the commissioner may petit
