Text
As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:
1.“Commissioner” means the commissioner of insurance appointed pursuant to section
505.2.
2.“Counter employee” means any employee at least eighteen years of age employed by a
rental company that offers the products described in this chapter.
3.“Limited licensee” means a person at least eighteen years of age or an entity authorized
to sell certain insurance coverages relating to the rental of vehicles.
4.“Rental agreement” means any written agreement setting forth the terms and
conditions governing the use of a vehicle provided by a rental company for rental.
5.“Rental company” means any person or entity in the business of primarily providing
vehicles intended for the private transportation of passengers to the public unde
