a.A person acting in this state as a viatical settlement provider or viatical settlement
broker,withoutbeinglicensedpursuanttosection508E.3,whowillfullyviolatesanyprovision
25 VIATICAL SETTLEMENT CONTRACTS, §508E.20
of this chapter or any rule adopted or order issued under this chapter, is guilty of a class “D”
felony.
b.A person acting in this state as a viatical settlement provider or viatical settlement
broker, without proper licensure, who willfully violates any provision of this chapter, or any
rule adopted or order issued under this chapter, and when such violation results in a loss of
more than ten thousand dollars, is guilty of a class “C” felony.
