Text

As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:

1.“Affiliate” of or “affiliated” with a specific person, means a person that directly or indirectly, through one or more intermediaries, controls or is controlled by, or is under common control with, the person specified.
2.“Ancillary state” means a state other than a domiciliary state.
3.“Commissioner” means the commissioner of insurance and any successor in office.
4.“Commodity contract” means any of the following:
a.A contract for the purchase or sale of a commodity for future delivery on, or subject to the rules of, a board of trade designated as a contract market by the commodity futures trading commission under the federal Commodity Exchange Act, 7 U.S.C. §1 et seq., or a board of trade outside the United States. b.
