Text
1.As used in this subchapter, unless the context otherwise requires, “committee”
means the city finance committee and “director” means the director of the department of
management.
2.An eight-member city finance committee is created. Members of the committee are:
a.The auditor of state or the auditor’s designee.
b.A designee of the governor.
c.Five city officials who are regularly involved in budget preparation. The director of the
department of management shall select and appoint the city officials.
d.One certified public accountant experienced in city accounting, to be selected and
appointed by the director of the department of management.
3.City official members and the certified public accountant are appointed for four-year
terms beginning and ending as provided in section 69.19
