Text
1.For purposes of this chapter the planning of joint districts is defined to include all of
the following acts:
a.Preparation of a written joint plan in which contiguous territory in two or more area
education agencies is considered as a part of a potential school district in the area education
agency on behalf of which such plan is filed with the department of education by the area
education agency board.
b.Adoption of the written joint plan at a joint session of the several area education agency
boards in whose areas the territory is situated. A quorum of each of the boards is necessary
to transact business. Votes shall be taken in the manner prescribed in section 275.16.
c.Filing said plan with the department of education.
