Under direction of the board of directors of the area education agency, the administrator of the area education agency shall, in addition to other duties:

1.Cooperatewithboardsofdirectorsoflocalschooldistrictsoftheareaeducationagency in considering and developing plans for the improvement of the educational programs and services in the area education agency.

2.Whenrequested,providesuchotherassistanceaspossibletoschooldistrictsofthearea education agency for the general improvement of their educational programs and operations.

3.Submit program plans each year to the department of education, for approval by the director of the department, to reflect the needs of the area education agency for media services as provided in section 273.6.
