Text
1.The university of Iowa hospitals and clinics authorities may at their discretion receive
patients into the hospital for medical, obstetrical, or surgical treatment or hospital care. The
university of Iowa hospitals and clinics ambulances and ambulance personnel may be used
for the transportation of such patients at a reasonable charge if specialized equipment is
required.
2.The university of Iowa hospitals and clinics authorities shall collect from the person or
persons liable for support of such patients reasonable charges for hospital care and service
anddepositpaymentofthechargeswiththetreasureroftheuniversityfortheuseandbenefit
of the university of Iowa hospitals and clinics.
3.Earnings of the university of Iowa hospitals and clinics shall be administered so as
