In accordance with section 256H.1, article VIII of the interstate compact on educational
opportunity for military children, the governor shall designate a compact commissioner, who
shallserveatthepleasureofthegovernorandwhoshallberesponsiblefortheadministration
and management of this state’s participation in the compact and shall serve as this state’s
voting representative on the interstate commission on educational opportunity for military
children as provided in section 256H.1, article IX of the compact.
