Text
1.All expenses incurred in maintaining the state fairgrounds and in conducting the
annual fair on the state fairgrounds, including the compensation and expenses of the
officers, members, and employees of the board, shall be recorded by the secretary and
paid from the state fair receipts, unless a specific appropriation has been provided for that
purpose. The board may request special capital improvement appropriations from the state
and may request emergency funding from the executive council for natural disasters. The
board may request that the department of transportation provide maintenance in accordance
with section 307.24, subsection 5.
